kororaa"The first stable release of Kororaa 15 (codename "Squirt") has been released and is available for download, in 32 and 64 bit with KDE 4.6 and GNOME 3." This is second release of the Fedora-based distribution since development resumed in late 2010. Kororaa, once based on Gentoo, aims to provide a "complete, easy to use system for general computing." It tweaks Fedora "to make the system 'just work' out of the box."

This release brings Ubuntu's Jockey Device Driver manager that installs and configures proprietary drivers for hardware such as NVIDIA and AMD/ATI graphics cards. Also look for the Flash installer helper in the software manager.

Other highlights include:

● Tweaked KDE 4.6 and GNOME 3 base systems
● Third party repositories (Adobe, Chrome, RPMFusion, VirtualBox)
● Firefox 6 as the default web browser (with handy extensions)
● Full multimedia support
● SELinux enabled
● GNOME 3 switcher between Shell and Fallback desktops
● Linux
● X.Org X Server 1.10.4
● GCC 4.6.0 20110603

Kororaa is available in 32-bit and 64-bit installable live DVDs in your choice of KDE and GNOME.
